X-Analysis Runtime Environment is the on-system component of Databorough’s X-Analysis suite for IBM i (AS/400). It installs lightweight libraries and services on the IBM i to collect and maintain a centralized repository of application metadata, enabling accurate cross-referencing, impact analysis, data lineage, and up-to-date documentation with minimal overhead. The runtime supports RPG, COBOL, CL, DB2 for i objects, and Synon/CA 2E models, and feeds this intelligence to the X-Analysis workstation client and related tools. By delivering current insights into program, file, and field dependencies as they exist in production, it helps teams understand complex legacy applications, reduce the risk of change, and accelerate modernization, remediation, and testing.
